Report: 56% of IT leaders say that data flow leads to higher revenues

new report by Mixed describes the benefits, challenges, and opportunities of real-time business data flows the world’s technology leaders see it. The report shows that information flows can finally play a role in the success of organizations now and in the future.

One of the most important findings in the report was the relationship between data flow and outcome. The report found that the majority of leaders had access to real-time data streams to some extent (97%), but those with broad access (66%) were the main advantage. More than half of this group (56%) reported revenue growth higher and even higher than their competitors.

Of course, customer satisfaction is a key indicator of income. The report found that three out of four organizations say they will lose customers without access to real-time data streams. At a time when consumers are expecting individualization and immediate availability across channels, brands rely on real-time data to increase customer satisfaction.

While there is a clear correlation between happy customers and real-time data flows and revenue, using moving data is not easy. The report found that many businesses did not have the architecture to integrate and use information from a variety of sources. In fact, 60% of respondents said that difficulties in integrating multiple data sources were a major obstacle to obtaining more information in real time.

The report is based on a 15-minute blind survey (conducted between January and March 2022) between a 1950s IT and engineering leader in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia and Singapore. All respondents were full-time employees of companies with more than 500 employees.
