Nasuni bought mobile data technology from DBM Cloud Systems

Nasuni Corporation, a file data provider, has acquired DBM Cloud Systems technology and products.

In 2016, Dixon Doll, Jr. Founded by DBM, it delivers in-cloud data transfer technology for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The acquisition comes on the heels of a $ 60 million increase in equity investment from Sixth Street in March. Dr. Joseph Slembert, former Vice President of Engineering at the DBM, joined Nasuni as Vice President of Engineering and led the data team.

Businesses are rapidly adopting a cloud-based approach to data management to strengthen cyber resilience, support hybrid work models, and scale to meet business needs. Data migration is an important part of the primary strategy in any cloud. Transferring data from the old file storage system to the cloud and the cloud should be smooth. According to Accenture, since 2021, almost all companies (93%) have implemented multi-cloud strategies, making high-speed data transfer between clouds an important feature.

With this acquisition, Nasuni will be able to improve their data transfer capacity, improve data transfer to their customers, and improve multi-cloud support so that they can easily transfer data from within to the cloud and between different cloud hypercaters. The integrated technology will allow Nasuni to improve its data transfer capabilities, including:

• Cloud data transfer: Transfer petabytes of data from an organization to the cloud or between public, private, or hybrid clouds.
• Intelligent hierarchy: Data is automatically transferred to the cloud storage layer to optimize costs.
• Improved multi-cloud support: Data can be moved and stored near the desired cloud service and application to ensure optimal performance while minimizing security risks through flexible data transfer.

Slember said: “At TDB, we have developed technology to automate data transfer and management between the clouds, as well as to facilitate the movement of data between them.

“Combining technology with Nasuni’s file data service platform will allow users to speed up file data migration, become smarter, and save a lot of time and money.”

Paul Flanagan, CEO of Nasuni, said: “The Nasuni file information platform includes the world’s only cloud-based global file system that combines unlimited file and object storage, and we have a strong partnership with Amazon AWS and Microsoft. Google Cloud.

“We provide cloud-free file transfer, hierarchical, and data-driven services. Today, businesses don’t want to lock all their data in one cloud, but instead use multiple cloud methods. The Development Bank’s technology and the experience we have gained will allow Nasuni to accelerate and upgrade its data transfer, support for multi-cloud and data transfer. ”
