CyberRes, a Micro Focus business line, is working with Google Cloud to support the upcoming BigQuery remote functionality.
The partnership will integrate CyberRes’s end-to-end enterprise data protection solution, Voltage SecureData, with Google’s BigQuery data warehouse to accelerate and scale organizations’ data science initiatives and help companies comply with ever-evolving privacy regulations.
The integration will enable CyberRes Voltage customers to consistently protect data in motion and at rest in use by Google BigQuery. Support for remote functions allows Google Cloud BigQuery users to take advantage of Voltage’s privacy-enhancing technology. Interoperable customers can use Voltage’s format-preserving encryption, hashing, and tokenization services within BigQuery along with Google BigQuery’s core security to address strict privacy compliance controls. Voltage’s cloud-agnostic, consistent data protection enables all customers to securely use regulated data for analytics in the hybrid cloud.
Tony de la Lama, vice president of product management at CyberRes, said: “The availability of BigQuery’s remote capabilities is an exciting and important evolution of the Google Cloud platform for our customers.
“The integration with Voltage SecureData means BigQuery will enable customers to leverage and support Voltage’s data-driven security approach for secure analytics, enabling enterprises to accelerate and scale their data science initiatives with privacy-first.”
BigQuery, Google Cloud’s highly scalable multi-cloud data warehouse, is designed for business agility and enables customers to easily discover, access and share data with real-time and predictive analytics. This new partnership extends Voltage SecureData’s deep capabilities to secure analytics across data warehouses, databases and data lakes, enabling customers to seamlessly and securely migrate workloads to BigQuery.
“Emerging threats and evolving technology needs are at the forefront of cybersecurity challenges. “By making its Voltage SecureData solution available within its BigQuery data warehouse to its Google Cloud customers, CyberRes is providing customers with the technology they need to protect their sensitive data while respecting and complying with current data privacy regulations,” said Ritika Suri, Director of Technology Partnerships, Google Cloud.
