Superbiker Chrissy Rose, 26, has died in hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a crash at Donington Speedway at the weekend.
The rider was taken to hospital after crashing on the final corner during the third race of Sunday’s final. Rose underwent emergency neurosurgery late on Sunday evening, but a statement has now confirmed that the Crew Performance rider has succumbed to his injuries.
A British Superbike Championship statement read: “Following an accident during the third race of the British Bennetts Superbike Championship at Donington Park (Sunday 2 October 2022), her competitor Chrissy Rose suffered a serious accident on the first lap of the race and was inevitably injured on the spot. After the pilot, he suffered a major head injury.
