Zscaler has expanded its relationship with its preferred cloud provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS).
In addition, Zscaler announced innovations built on Zscaler’s Zero Trust architecture and AWS to help enterprises securely accelerate their migration to the cloud. By working together, the companies will provide customers with a unified solution to consolidate and simplify cloud security operations, while helping organizations move their security architecture from ineffective legacy models to a modern Zero Trust approach for the cloud.
Enterprises today are responsible for procuring, implementing, and managing dozens of different point products, leading to operational complexity and overhead. As the cloud evolves, enterprises are looking for a comprehensive cloud-based platform with integrated services such as Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Cloud Infrastructure Entitlements Management (CIEM), Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP), and Data Loss Protection. (DLP), Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scanning to protect globally distributed workloads.
To help enterprises adopt Zero Trust to secure their cloud applications and improve the security of their 5G connections, Zscaler and AWS have expanded their relationship to deliver simple yet powerful AWS-based solutions. These solutions are designed to help identify, prioritize, mitigate and eliminate cloud load risks for applications and cloud infrastructure, while extending Zero Trust to private 5G connectivity. Three Zscaler innovations designed to improve cloud security and cloud connectivity with AWS include:
1. Delivering Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) based on AWS: Zscaler’s new Posture Control™ solution, built and running on AWS, helps DevOps and security teams accelerate cloud adoption by efficiently implementing parts of the AWS Shared Responsibility Model. The platform replaces multiple endpoint security products—CSPM, CIEM, CWPP, IaC scanning, DLP, and CMDB—into a single, integrated platform that analyzes millions of attributes to prioritize the critical issues that the security team needs to focus on and operationalize. reduces complexity and burden. first. AWS has chosen the primary cloud service provider role for a large part of Zscaler’s customer base due to its breadth of services, scale, reliability and distribution.
2. Extending zero-trust security to workloads on AWS: In partnership with AWS, as enterprises migrate and refactor their applications and workloads on AWS, Zscaler extends the Zero Trust Exchange™ cloud security platform to protect cloud workloads from malware and data breaches. Zscaler leverages deep integration with AWS native technologies such as Gateway Load Balancer, AWS Secrets Manager, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS Auto Scaling to deliver the benefits of cloud-to-Internet traffic inspection. It also extends the platform’s app-to-app segmentation capabilities, dramatically reducing the risk associated with an organization’s attack surface and lateral threat movement.
3. Destroying confidence in private 5G with AWS wavelengths: Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange protects workloads running on AWS wavelengths by providing users with granular, Zero Trust access to devices connected to the mobile network. Services are delivered using Zscaler Private Access™ (ZPA) – an AWS-based Zero Trust architecture that supports cloud and hybrid infrastructure monitoring and deployment.
Rui Cabecho, IT Services Group Manager and Global Outbound Connectivity Leader at Siemens, said: “Zscaler offers an innovative and highly scalable cloud workload protection solution in partnership with AWS.
“We look forward to leveraging the powerful capabilities of Zscaler and AWS Marketplace to increase business agility as we continue our cloud transformation.”
Punit Minocha, VP of Business and Corporate Development at Zscaler said: “Many organizations are struggling with the concept of Zero Trust for cloud security.
“Zscaler’s latest innovations – our Posture Control solution built on AWS as our cloud provider and new cloud workload protection services – provide simplified and efficient solutions to effectively de-risk cloud workloads through the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange cloud security platform. offering to our joint customers. .”
ISV Partner and Director of AWS Marketplace Business Development Chris Grus said: “Zscaler and AWS share a common vision to deliver the highest quality security solutions to our joint customers and help them manage the latest cloud security requirements.
“This expanded relationship will offer organizations around the world simple yet powerful solutions based on AWS security, monitoring and data protection services that are tightly integrated.”
